James Coney Island is pitching in.
• Next Friday, Sept. 9th - James Coney Island will donate 10 percent of the total day's sales from ALL 22 Locations to the American Red Cross
• They're also collecting donations of canned goods at all stores. Goods will be distributed through Star of Hope. Items needed most: non-perishables; bottled water, diapers, OTC medications, toiletries and hygiene products
Plus:
• they are currently supplying meals at multiple area shelters
• have plans to offer meals for volunteers at the Astrodome, Reliant Center, or George R. Brown, as soon as they are allowed to do so.
• they're matching individual employee donations to relief organizations at 100 percent.
• working in conjunction with the makers of their Coney Island Kids' Toys, have collected large amounts of toys for kids in the Astrodome, along with cash donations of approximately $20,000. Toys are scheduled to arrive via truck from Nebraska on Monday.
